SuperSender/VSE
SuperSender is a CICS message sending system that allows terminal users to send messages to each other. When you receive a message sent by SuperSender, it does not interfere with the work being performed at your terminal. SuperSender saves the contents of your terminal before displaying the message, then restores your work after you have read the message.
With SuperSender, you can send messages to a specific terminal, a group of terminals, a particular operator ID or the operator’s console. Best of all, it’s easy to use and simple to install.
SuperSender will help you improve productivity by:
- Reducing paper handling
- Eliminating telephone tag
- Speeding communications
- Decreasing communications costs

Send Messages to CICS Users Without Interrupting Sessions
Install SuperSender on VSE or MVS
First, load the libraries and VSAM file from the product tape. On VSE, loading is typically done with MSHP. On MVS, the distribution files are in IEBCOPY format, and the installation library provides JCL for loading the execution load library (LOADLIB) and three other libraries related to link-editing, compiling, and COBOL source code. (The LOADLIB provides most of the normal daily operation.)
Resolve any naming conflicts.
Define for CICS the SuperSender files, programs, and transactions.
In VSE, modify the CICS search chain to include the SuperSender library.
In MVS, some installations will require copying SuperSender into a second load library.
